FIRE PREVENTION

The Fire Marshal’s office is staffed by Battalion Chief Brandon Broadhead, an administrative captain, and three administrative lieutenants. They are responsible for reviewing new construction plans and performing inspections on hundreds of businesses, including schools, retail, hotels and manufacturing. They also manage fire hydrant maintenance, public information, the Knox Box system and fire safety equipment in all city owned buildings. In addition, the Fire Marshal’s office is responsible for organizing fire prevention programs to our school children, senior adults and other target populations. If you are interested in having a fire prevention program presented to your group, please contact our office at 205-332-6154.
